About me
Hi there!
You clicked this because you want to know something about me. Here we go. Are you ready?
I’m a mother of two insanely crazy boys, don’t worry, I still love them with all my heart. I’m an Army wife. Yeah. *sigh*. The Army. But that’s a different story. I’m sure if you stick with me, you will read about it here and there.
I’m also german. Means, actually, well, nothing. Why? Because it doesn’t matter where you come from, what you look like, what you believe in and who you love.
I love to cook and bake and then eat it. Alone. No wait, I’m still getting used to sharing the spoon after baking.
And then there is my other purpose in life. Documenting our lives. I am absolutely in love with photography. My main goal is to not pose anybody, to just observe and press the shutter. The reason for that might be that when I look at photographs of my own childhood I adore the ones that really show me. Ice cream face, scraped knees, wild hair, focused on something other than the camera. I want my boys to remember their childhood exactly like that. I want them to be able to look at my photographs in 20 years and remember what they were doing at that exact moment. Honestly, who can remember the countless times they looked straight at a camera and said ‘cheese’?
Here and there I try to capture these moments for other people too. I love seeing their eyes light up when they look at their lives from my perspective. When somebody tells me, this is me, this is my family, this is my child, I know, I did good.
If there’s anything else you would like to know about me, go ahead and ask. I will do my best to answer. But for now, why don’t we just have a coffee and chocolate and hang out together
I hope to meet you soon

trés chic madame!
siehst wirklich toll aus, es sollte mehr Bilder von dir geben

Irgendwie findet mein Mann die Kamera aber aeusserst einschuechternd

STumbled across your blog this morning on my way to work after dropping my own 3 boys to school. Love the spontaneity in your photos and the intimacy that’s so special when photographing kids, most especially your own. I only started on my own photography adventures less than a year ago and your blog has given me much encouragement and perspectives too…..thank you

Hi Anika!
I’m contacting you to request you to use your work for our magazine known as ‘txtbuk’.
Me and my friends believe in inspiring the young students and make them believe they can change the world. We believe that they would be amazed and further inspire others and take our cause as their own.
We are doing this by creating ‘txtbuk’, a magazine exclusively for college students that would serve our purpose. It will be in a unique scrapbook form having personal articles from a range of diverse topics which also include one on the arts and photography section.
On the behalf of my team, I request you to help us with our cause by giving us a chance to use your hard work through which we can take your message forward to the readers and help them getting inspired.
could you send me an email please?
